CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is selling pumpkins again this year. The church started out with 1,500 pumpkins displayed all around the entrance on the corner of Devonshire and Prospect Ave. in Champaign.
The annual pumpkin arrival has become a Good Shepherd tradition. Pumpkin sales help fuel the mission work performed through the church. Some of the proceeds were used to send youth and sponsors to the National Youth Convention in New Orleans last summer. Members were able to spend a week there growing in their faith, meeting other Lutherans from around the country, and doing service projects.
