Lottery to be held to determine ballot placement in Urbana Mayoral election

Ballot placement will be decided in the Urbana City Council chambers on November 6 at 9:00 a.m. A lottery will be held to determine if mayoral candidates Annie Adams or DeShawn Williams will appear first on the ballot for the Consolidated Primary Election.

URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – Ballot placement will be decided in the Urbana City Council chambers on November 6 at 9:00 a.m. A lottery will be held to determine if mayoral candidates Annie Adams or DeShawn Williams will appear first on the ballot for the Consolidated Primary Election.

The election to be the next Mayor of Urbana will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. The candidates will be assigned a number (Adams – 1, and Williams – 2,) and the numbers will be placed in a container and drawn randomly to determine placement.
