CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Illinois basketball cruised to an 87-40 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore, fueled by a dominant second-half performance from Will Riley, who scored 19 of his game-high points after the break. The No. 25-ranked Illini improved to 4-1 on the season while showcasing their depth and defensive prowess.

Kylan Boswell chipped in 13 points, Tomislav Ivisic scored 11 points, Morez Johnson Jr. notched a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, Tre White grabbed 11 rebounds, while Kasparas Jakucionis added seven.

Illinois struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 25% (10-for-40) from three but dominated the glass with a 59-38 rebounding advantage while committing only nine turnovers.

Illinois hosts Little Rock on Monday.
