DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – At 1:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, Danville Police Officers conducted a routine traffic stop that led to a significant arrest involving drugs and illegal firearms. Officers pulled over a vehicle in the unit block of S. State St. due to a suspended vehicle registration.
The driver, identified as 37-year-old Ondra Givannt of Danville, was discovered to be on Mandatory Supervised Release through the Illinois Department of Corrections. Further investigation by officers uncovered a firearm and suspected controlled substances in the vehicle. When officers attempted to take Givannt into custody, he resisted arrest but was subdued and transported to the Public Safety Building.

- Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon
- Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (100–400 grams of cocaine)
