Paxton police search for suspects after armed robbery at liquor store

Paxton police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery that occurred Friday evening at Paxton Variety Liquors. At approximately 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 27, two men entered the liquor store, brandished firearms, and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

PAXTON, IL (Chambana Today) – Paxton police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery that occurred Friday evening at Paxton Variety Liquors. At approximately 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 27, two men entered the liquor store, brandished firearms, and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Paxton Police Chief Coy Cornett stated that the suspects fled the scene immediately after the robbery. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing. The Ford County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the robbery. Police are currently reviewing area surveillance footage for additional leads. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Paxton Police Department.
