SEATTLE, WA (Chambana Today) – The #22 Illinois Fighting Illini secured an 81-77 victory over Washington on the road, extending their season-best win streak to four games. The Illini improved to 11-3 overall and 3-1 in Big Ten play.
Illinois led for 37:50 of the game and never trailed. Kasparas Jakucionis led the team with 18 points, five rebounds, and six assists. He has now scored in double figures in nine straight games and recorded his fifth game this season with at least 14 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Tre White added 17 points and seven rebounds. He has scored in double figures in seven games this season and is averaging 15.5 points over his last six outings. Kylan Boswell poured in 14 points—all in the second half—and grabbed four rebounds. Boswell has scored in double figures in six straight games, averaging 15.3 points during that span. Tomislav Ivisic narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds, leading the Illini on the boards for the ninth time this season. Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn came off the bench to contribute eight points, while Morez Johnson Jr. added four points and five rebounds.
