CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Tickets are now available for the 16th Annual Prom Benefit for Hunger Relief, scheduled for Saturday, March 2, at the I Hotel & Conference Center in Champaign. The event, presented by Martinelli’s Market, promises to be a memorable night of celebration and giving back to the community.

This year’s event comes at a time when local food pantries are experiencing a historic increase in demand. According to the Foodbank, the number of people served by local pantries has risen by 90% compared to 2022, underscoring the critical need for community support. “Every ticket purchased helps provide nutritious meals for families facing hunger in our community,” said a spokesperson for the Foodbank. “This event is a fun way to make a real difference in the lives of those in need.”

Early bird tickets are currently available at a discounted rate but must be purchased by January 31. Attendees can purchase individual tickets or reserve entire tables for the event.

The night will also feature the popular Prom Court fundraiser, where guests can donate to their favorite candidates on the Prom Court. The funds raised will play a role in crowning the Prom King and Queen at the end of the night.
