ARCOLA, IL (Chambana Today) – The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 5 was called in to assist the Arcola Police Department with a shooting investigation. At around 12:00 a.m. on January 17, 2025, Arcola PD responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of South Pine Street. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with gunshot wounds and quickly transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
