DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) — An 18-year-old man was arrested Monday morning following a domestic-related shooting at a home on May Street, authorities said.
Danville Police responded at approximately 8:13 a.m. to a 9-1-1 call reporting a loud disturbance. Officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
Police identified the suspect as Damien X. Gore, who was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon. A firearm was recovered at the scene, and authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
