URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – An Urbana Police Proactive Patrol led to three arrests in a gun and drug investigation.
During a patrol in the area of Silver and Vawter Streets on February 14, Urbana officers observed a traffic violation and then soon after conducted a stop on the vehicle. There were three occupants of the vehicle observed, all male and all in the rage range of 16 to 19 years old. Upon further investigation, the officers discovered 39 grams of cannabis and a firearm with a defaced serial number and an extended magazine.
The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested for various offenses. Urbana Police remain committed to addressing violent crime and illegal firearm possession through continued enforcement efforts and community partnerships.
