DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – A Danville man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing another man over the weekend.

DPD says that officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Washington St. on Sunday, July 28, at 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports that someone had been stabbed.  When they arrived, they say they found a 29-year-old Danville man suffering from multiple stab wounds. DPD reports the injuries were non-fatal, and the individual was transported to a nearby hospital. He was last reported to be in stable condition.

DPD say that their investigation of the scene resulted in the arrest of 23-year-old Donald Hardy Jr. of Danville who they charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. DPD say he was taken into custody is currently being held at the public safety building while awaiting a hearing.
