CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 7 Commander, Captain Brian Dickmann recently announced the results of the Nighttime Enforcement (NITE) patrols.
These patrols focused on preventing, detecting, and taking enforcement action in response to impaired driving and occupant restraint violations between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. These patrols were done on Friday, October 25 and are listed below:
- Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Citations: 0
- Other Alcohol/Drug Citations: 0
- Occupant Restraint Offenses: 1
- Registration Offenses: 2
- Driver’s License Offenses: 2
- Insurance Violations: 2
- Total Citations/Arrests: 23
- Total Written Warnings: 10
This project is funded by the Department of Transportation and stresses the importance of removing dangerous drivers and ensuring people buckle up.
