University of Illinois extension hosts Pumpkins Beyond the Patch

MONTICELLO, IL (Chambana Today) – Pumpkins Beyond the Patch will take place at noon on November 19 at the Piatt County Extension Office.

Pumpkins Beyond the Patch is a program by the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners for the November Growing Community program which teaches people how to grow the perfect pumpkin. Master Gardener volunteers will share tips on seed selection, planting, pollination, and harvesting. Participants will also learn the best pest and disease control practices for improving the health and growth of their pumpkins.
