CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – With the winter season coming in full swing, the American Red Cross encourages blood donors to keep donations at the top of their priority list.
November brought record-breaking travel which is expected to carry into the new year, which means individuals may put off donating until after the holiday season. Because of this, the public is encouraged to donate to provide care for patients in need in the next coming weeks. Type O negative donors are especially encouraged to donate.
Also, for a limited time, individuals who donate from December 9 to 15 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice. Individuals who donate from December 6, 2024, to January 3, 2025, will receive an exclusive Red Cross long-sleeved T-shirt while supplies last. Donations in Champaign County will be available at Market Place Mall on December 30 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
