CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 7 Commander, Acting Captain Heather Apperson recently announced the results of their Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE).
These patrols were held on December 28, 2024 and allow the ISP to monitor, protect, and prevent impaired driving and illegal transportation of drugs and alcohol. Drug and alcohol impairment are a factor in more than 49% of all fatal motor accidents. The project was funded through the Department of Transportation.
