CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – A Public Safety Alert was issued for a fraudulent public health official.
The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) is alerting residents about a male individual who falsely claims to represent public health going door-to-door in Champaign County. The CUPHD and the Illinois Department of Public Health confirm that there are no staff conducting door-to-door visits. Residents are urged to stay cautious and Public Health reminds the public that if someone comes to your door unexpectedly claiming to be public health, do not let them in and call 9-1-1.
