DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – Danville Police officers arrested an individual in “The Grove” apartment complex in Danville.

The individual was stopped on Wednesday, January 29 at around 5:15 p.m. by officers of the Danville Police Department Community Housing Unit at the 1100 block of Fowler Avenue. The subject was recognized from previous information during a shots-fired call. The subject was identified as 21-year-old Davaris Jackson of Danville who was wanted on a Vermilion County warrant including gun charges. During the arrest, the officers found a loaded firearm on Jackson.

This was despite his lack of an Illinois Concealed Carry License and he was promptly arrested and transported to the Public Safety Building. Jackson was then booked on charges of being Wanted on a Warrant, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
