Inaugural FusionFest takes place at the Krannert Center

The event featured an evening with people from all backgrounds celebrating rich and diverse traditions. It was a celebration of Asian cultures with over 18 unique performances from local children's groups to internationally renowned performers and everything in between.

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Staff from the Equity and Engagement Department attended the inaugural FusionFest.

FusionFest took place at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, February 2. It was a celebration of the Lunar New Year with 2025 being the Year of the Snake. The event was cosponsored by Chinese Students and Scholars Association at U of I and the New American Welcome Center. Lunar New Year is a holiday celebrated across East and Southeast Asia, which marks a fresh start for the community.
